La storia con il testo
PresenterGood morning, it's eight o'clock and this is your travel and weather update on City Radio.
PresenterLet's start with the roads. There's heavy traffic on the A40 into the city centre this morning because of roadworks near the hospital. If you can, use the ring road instead. Expect delays of around twenty minutes.
PresenterOn the trains, services between Oxford and London are running normally, but there's a problem on the Reading line. A broken-down train means that some services are cancelled until at least ten o'clock. Replacement buses are leaving from the front of the station every fifteen minutes.
PresenterAnd if you're flying today, passengers at the airport should allow extra time, because there are long queues at security.
PresenterNow the weather. It's a cold, grey start, with temperatures of just four degrees. There'll be some light rain this morning, but it should clear by lunchtime, and this afternoon will be bright and sunny with a high of eleven degrees. Tonight will be clear and very cold, so watch out for ice on the roads tomorrow morning.
PresenterThat's all for now. Our next update is at half past eight.
